Birth Work

The birth of a new life
invites the birth of a new self

Preparing for and welcoming the birth of your baby runs deeper than most families expect. My services center around the potent element of transformation that mothers + birthing parents undergo as they move through pregnancy, birth & postpartum.

Pregnancy and birth are happening through you, not to you. I seek to instill an unwavering sense of autonomy and empowerment in my clients so that they can develop a unique vision for their birth, emanate confidence, & surrender to the innate intelligence of the female body + nervous system.

The power of birth requires the utmost support and nurturance.
My holistic model of care offers the following services to do just that:

  • Prenatal Yoga & Spinning Babies

  • Breathwork & Pelvic Floor Connection

  • Viewing “Pain” as an Opportunity for Transformation

  • Evidence-based Birth Planning

My philosophy is integrative, client-centered and humanistic in nature. Touching on emotional, mental, physical & spiritual experiences, we will prepare you, your body, your family, and your baby in a collaborative, compassionate and personalized setting.

Post-Partum Support

A time for rest, healing, & bonding

The postpartum period comes with two primary themes: healing and rest for the mother + birthing parent; and nurturing the precious growth of the newborn. It is an exceptionally delicate time for everyone in the family. When parents are held and mothered just as much as their babies are, then rejuvenation, health, and vibrancy can underline the waves of postpartum.

Postpartum support begins far before the baby is born, and it is often needed longer than the typical 6-week timeframe. Regardless of when we begin our work together (during pregnancy or after birth), the services I offer in postpartum are geared towards supporting the needs, bodies, minds, and hearts of birthing mamas + parents so that they can feel grounded, validated, informed, and prepared as they tend to their little ones.
Some themes that we will focus on together:

  • Reflecting on and Processing the Birth Experience

  • Nourishing the Body: Food, Herbs, & Nature

  • Supporting the Mind and Heart

  • Tending to the Newborn

  • Systems of Support and Community

  • Home Basics: Organization & Functionality
